Yes it does look good. Nice avatars as well, those who have changed them to pics from Sunday.

Not sure I'll change my Avatar. As someone pointed out on Sunday, I look a bit like a Mr Man, or a Mr ATV, on my photo as the ATV logo covers my whole body!!!

westward wrote:Ah yes, I wondered if that was your Zafira along there - but it didn't look illegally parked (although I only glanced whilst looking for a space myself... ) As you say though the whole street should be free on a Sunday - unless things have changed since last year.... did you photograph the car in situ and take a pic of the signs? People have had these tickets issued erroneously by the agents of the council in other areas, and have proved the point with pics.

All a bit of a dampner to an otherwise great day though.... :(

Well I called on Friday for an update as the 14 days would elapse on the Saturday. The nice Brummie guy on the end of the phone confirmed that he'd received my e-mail and would then keep any payment due to the 14 day 1/2 price rate.

However, due to photographic evidence, it showed the front of the car parked on Bridge St, but didn't show my tyre touching the yellow line. As the offence was indicated as "Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours" it has been revoked as Bridge St is FOC parking on Sunday along with Holliday St.

So that's £35 saved !
I'll think of something witty to put in here all in good time

That's good news Tony, if there's one thing worse than paying for parking in the first place, it's getting a fine. Only ever had one fine myself and that was when I was trying to avoid paying parking in Chesterfield!

It just goes to show that they employ monkeys these days who'll try anything - I am glad that they have seen sense as you knew that you were in the right - we have parked there so many times we know the restrictions by now....

Great news Tony :D

Well done. I hate it when authorities don't play by the rules, and they all need to be taken to task for it.

Hi Tony

Im so chuffed to hear this news :D

I had been thinking about it in the last couple of days...wondering how it had turned out. Im glad you got it overturned - common sense prevailed in the end. I heard somewhere that they get commission and have targets to meet.

well done Tony...£35 is a lot of money.

cheers

Greg
