Twas me, and I've already put it up on the wall in the spare room / office.

My daugher Ellie was loving this, and had to explain that there wasn't a dalek at the meeting, but think it's a great picture, so reckon that will get me to a Doctor Who convention this year.

It was a great day as usual.

The funniest part was the burger scenario whereby after ordering, 15 mins or so had passed before the numpty from the bar said he couldn't do any burgers due to not having any buns. So I had a chicken dinner myself only then to notice that there were more burgers appearing. The geers from me, Mark and others about this I think were winding the barman up a little, but tough !

The pic with the TV Times crew was a good one, and pity Mark didn't get them again when they all looked up at the camera, that would have made a good pic too.

Thanks also go to Birmingham City Council who gave me a parking ticket. I'm going to challenge it though as it states "01 - Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours". Sorry, but on Sunday you don't pay so I'll see what they say. No other cars got a ticket on the day. So if I pay within 14 days it's £35 (50% off). So I can afford a little time before I pay it. Ugh !
I'll think of something witty to put in here all in good time

Bloody hell that is a bit much..... where did you park? We have always paid in Bridge Street or Holliday Street for nothing before...... I couldn't find a space there so we had to go to the Brindley Drive (off Cambridge Street )multi-storey which was £2.50 for all day so worth bearing in mind, as it is only the other side of centenary square... :D

It was very generous guys thank you so much.... :D

I parked on the end of the pavement just by the security office of ATV. Just wish I'd parked there now instead of on the road. I wouldn't have had a ticket then ! Anyway, e-mail logged. I'll see where it gets me. Not very far I doubt.

Ah yes, I wondered if that was your Zafira along there - but it didn't look illegally parked (although I only glanced whilst looking for a space myself... ) As you say though the whole street should be free on a Sunday - unless things have changed since last year.... did you photograph the car in situ and take a pic of the signs? People have had these tickets issued erroneously by the agents of the council in other areas, and have proved the point with pics.

All a bit of a dampner to an otherwise great day though.... :(

That's bad news, sorry to hear that. Yes, you're right, parking charges don't apply on Sunday so they can't enforce that charge on you. I parked on Bordesley Street near Moor Street car park, quite a walk from Broad Street but was free. Thankfully the car was still in one piece and no ticket when I got back.

there is so much to say im not sure where to start but ive a list of 'thank you's' to mention

firstly thanks to everyone for your great company. Im sorry if i didnt get around to speaking to everyone at length but hopefully next time i will. what a great bunch.

They were all terrific prizes and its great to hear the amount of money raised in the process. a good cause.

Really enjoyed the Birmingham meet yesterday, it was good to see familiar faces from the Sheffield meet and to meet some new faces - Greg, Tony, Billy, Wilko and Gill (only briefly though). Now watching the Tiswas DVDs I won in the raffle...

Just a quick note to say thanks for a very nice day on Sunday. I'm still trying to put names to all the faces, but its coming along slowly in my own quiet way. I got some lovely things from the raffle after I swapped the item I donated in the first place. 3 lovely episodes of Tiswas (with a few hidden extras for continuity fans) and Metal Mickey Series 2 (Gee, thanks guys...(!))

Also thanks to Mr TSW for his DVD of TSW's last day. By coincidence I saw this a few days earlier but its nice to have a decent copy.

Thanks again for a smashing day and hope to see you at the next meet up.

Some people won't see it just yet. They'll have to hit the refresh button (or press F5) before it shows up for them. That's what I had to do (on both my PC and Mac) this morning.
See me on Twitter here.
